The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada will take place on the 11/12th October 2014.

For this years event, we are planning a fantastic and unique weekend bringing the kitesurfing community together for an action packed 2 day festival of kitesurfing, music, entertainment. The festival will include:

  • A large central marquee and surrounding tents creating the heart of the festival
  • Kite brands exhibiting new & latest gear, partners and charity stands
  • Pro kiter Q & A sessions
  • A big screen with live tracking of the event and kite movie screenings later in the evening
  • Music, bars, food stands, cafe’s & entertainment
  • Beginner taster sessions on the water
  • Pro kiter demo’s / mini competitions
  • Camping and on-site facilities
  • Evening awards ceremony, prize giving and (hopefully!) World Record announcement
  • Apres kite party with live bands and DJ’s in the main marquee, with converted VW van soundsystem!

Full details of all festival activities, maps, exhibitors and sessions will be circulated as they are finalised over coming months. Havant Borough Council have been a huge help and are providing a lot of support to put everything in place for the event.

We want to keep access to the festival free, with just a charity donation on the door requested from anyone not kiting in the event.

Camping and Campervans

We will have an event camp site, and long stay car park for those who wish to leave their cars whilst camping or stay in their campervan / motorhome.

On the weekend of the event, the campsite and long-stay car park will open on the Friday at 5pm and close on Monday at midday – by which time everyone should have left the site.

A campsite pass for the whole festival weekend for one tent, up to 4 people and one one long stay car parking place is £30. A campervan or motorhome pass for the whole festival weekend is also £30.  Please note that you have to pre-book your camping passes, otherwise we cannot guarantee a space. To book your pass please contact julia@kitesurfingarmada.com

Full details and maps of the camping area will be publicised in due course. But the campsite will be basic as it is simply an area of grass behind the beach - portaloos will be provided, and limited showers available at the public toilet block at the entrance to the event. Water standpoints will also be available and supplies can be purchesed from the festival or local shops and cafe’s.
